Tuesday, June 10 I started back up with my racquetball partner. My thumb is definitely healed enough to play again (and she is back from her wedding). I played one game without my glasses and again I really enjoyed the challenge and focus it requires 🙂
Today I completed:
- 10 minutes of long swings — I decided to stop counting them because it is kind of tedious. I timed myself and found I could do 100 long swings in six and a half minutes so I decided to extend that to ten minutes. It was much more relaxing and I found I was able to breathe much better actually! I would close my eyes and swing for a while which I really liked. The illumination changes on my eyelids made me feel a beating sensation within myself; almost like I was running a wooden spoon along a washboard that was vibrating against my body. When I opened my eyes I could feel that same sensation if I relaxed enough and remembered the feeling. This also started to bring about the relaxed sensations I get from autogenics.
- Work on the Snellen chart. There wasn’t very good light, but I could tell that swaying and relaxaing in front of the chart was clearing up my vision. I tried imagining a black period playing pinball between the letters on the chart and that helped keep my eyes “darting around”.
